THE FULLEST Faves XXVIII
Are you constantly refining your lifestyle to live closer to the natural world? Then this month's faves are for you! Our founder, Nikki Bostwick, shares the practices and products that are helping her align more closely to nature, from no more excessive supplementing and lots more organic nutrients to regenerative fashion and letting the body run out its fever on its terms. Read on for her complete list.
Replacing Supplements for Something More Simple and Effective
Instead of synthetically derived supplements that move needles on our idea of what "normal" levels look like, what if we supplemented our deficiencies with the notion that nature gives us all we need when we need it? What if we could optimize our health with support from the natural world? My daily routine includes products derived from nature and very close to their natural state — for a pick-me-up, I go with stone-ground organic matcha from Chafinity.Next up is minerals; we need to pay more attention to the importance of an optimized body with balanced minerals. My grandfather died of a heart attack in the hospital when they messed up his sodium and potassium levels. I choose to use Quintons that comes from the ocean because it's already in a form from which the earth intended us to receive minerals.Next comes ARMRA, which I shared last month because it's just cold-processed colostrum for immunity. For 15% off your ARMRA order, use code THEFULLEST at checkout. Finally, our Warm Feelings™ saffron latte is my go-to for any inflammation, PMS, mood support, and overall anti-aging. I don't take anything else daily because these products provide us with everything we need.
Ditching Fever Phobia
Fevers are our bodies' way of healing from whatever virus or infection we have in our bodies. Most cultures understand this and support the body by encouraging it to heat up more by cozying up instead of doing a million different things to cool it down. The more we try to cool it down, the longer it takes for the body to heal, and the more likely the fever can go up higher because the body cranks up the heat further to accommodate for all we are doing externally.
The more we trust and understand how to support what the body wants rather than cater to our phobias, the easier it is to manage, the less we worry, and the quicker we get better!
Unless your kids are inconsolable from the discomfort, all we need to do is ensure they are drinking lots of fluids and keeping hydrated!
Christy Dawn's Line of Regenerative Clothing
This year I'm going even harder on my wardrobe guidelines. I'm already very specific about the fabric I wear because I want my body to regulate temperature properly, keep my endocrine system supported without synthetic materials that cause hormone disruption, and support the environment by not contributing to more microplastics in our water when washing my clothes.
Did you know that more than 90% of cotton grown in this country for clothes is treated with glyphosate?
That means we are just wearing pesticides that destroy our DNA even when something is made 100% from a natural fiber. That's why I love Christy Dawn! Thank goodness they are paving the way for clothing made with organic and regenerative materials — because what's good for us is also what's good for the planet. Use code 15Nikki for 15% off any full-priced Christy Dawn styles.
HealthyLine TAJ-Mat™ 2020
I'm so excited about this small PEMF mat from HealthyLine because it's the perfect size for someone like me who is petite and looking for just the right amount of support in a targeted area like my back. It only takes up a little space, and it has the same amount of benefits as the larger mats provide. It's a functional heating pad, and it's affordable and easy to store. I really think every household should have one of these mats so I've teamed up with HealthyLine to bring you 10% off your purchase of any item on their website and free shipping! Use code TheFullest at checkout.
Piano
I used to play the piano when I was a young girl, but I (regretfully) quit because reading music was so difficult for me. However, I recently fell in love with this Moma keyboard piano collab made of natural oak wood and so easy to fit into our 1900 sq ft home. We got the piano for the kids so they can start taking lessons, but I've been using it, and old songs I used to play have resurfaced from my memories, and I've even started playing around learning how to play specific songs off YouTube videos. It's been a great mind exercise, so I highly recommend it to anyone who has a past playing piano or any instrument. You may be surprised by how good it feels to play music! It truly feeds your soul.
Inheal™ Bulk
Our bulk bags of our saffron milk bath have arrived, and I could not be happier! We were going through so many bath jars at our house because the whole family likes to bathe, and now there's a bulk option that uses less glass and is way more sustainable and more convenient because we don't keep running out of them.Nikki Bostwick is the Founder and Editor in Chief of THE FULLEST and host of THE FULLEST Podcast.
