THE FULLEST Faves XXV
Maybe it’s the eclipse portal or the cooler weather but this month, Nikki’s roundup of THE FULLEST Faves sees a simple return to the things that nourish her. Yes, we’re talking self-care, clean beauty, and a spot of shopping — but also nurturing relationships, setting up our homes as beautiful sanctuaries, and the healing power of an arboretum. Read on to get inspired and use this as permission to book that facial, buy that home good, or hug a tree.
Serena Mitnik-Miller + General Store
General Store has been a place I’ve frequented for years to clear my mind and find inspiration in life through everyday items. Some of my favorite brands and makers I’ve found through founder Serena Mitnik-Miller’s eye for natural beauty. We are so honored to be carried in her shop and I recently interviewed her on THE FULLEST podcast — give it a listen or check her online shop for artisan-made goods!
Living Libations Underarm Charm Crème Deodorant in Maverick
I’ve been using the Living Libations deodorant and loving it lately. I like to switch up what I use on my underarms — sometimes it’s just essential oils, other times it's non-toxic deodorant. This one has a woodsy unisex scent that puts a smile on my face every time I apply! For 15% off your Living Libations order, use code THEFULLEST at checkout.
Nalata Nalata
Nalata Nalata is an online shop that stocks unique, refined Japanese-inspired items for the home. Since stumbling upon them, a good chunk of my free time is spent on their site compiling my ultimate home goods wishlist.
MATE the Label
I love MATE the Label's new activewear collection SO much — I am really grateful to their founder Katie and her team for creating a line that is made up of 92% organic cotton. I have made it a point to steer clear from wearing microplastics. If I feel like I need a bit of stretch in something, I make sure it’s in less than 10% of the clothing or fabric. The reason being that synthetic materials make their way into our oceans via our washing machines. However, outside of our planet’s health, they also impact our bodies’ wellbeing as they often have endocrine disruptors and other chemicals that are harmful to our health. If you're also looking for a more sustainable activewear line (and not one that just uses recycled plastics), this is the best one I've found! And we are so excited to share that MATE has offered to give our community an exclusive discount — for 20% off your MATE order, use code fullest20 at checkout!
Washington Park Arboretum
I love the Washington Park Arboretum — we typically like to visit the Northwest in the fall and springtime. If you’re planning a trip soon and haven’t been, it’s a must! Check out our THE FULLEST Guide to Seattle for other places to visit while in town!
One-on-One Time with My Husband
My husband and I have been making it a point to incorporate a weekly date night, believe it or not, it took us over four years and two kids to finally set aside some us time again! Mainly because we didn’t want to leave our kids but also we didn’t feel the need to do it until we found ourselves deep in toddler and newborn emotional chaos. Now, we use this time to reset so we can show up as both better partners and parents. It’s been fun to explore our neighborhood restaurants (I’ve been less picky about our options because now I come equipped with my own salad dressing…lol). We’ve also picked up weekly tennis lessons that have been a great way to unwind after the workday together. It’s taught me to stay present and is way more fun than sitting in front of a screen at the end of the night!
Facials
I’m definitely a minimalist when it comes to skincare — I just use a warm washcloth and face oil in the morning and evenings and have a super simple makeup routine. When I do put makeup on, it’s just four simple products for the skin, eyes, and eyebrows. Therefore, facials haven’t been a part of my wellness routine, but I just started going to a local facialist lately that offers lymphatic facials. I find it so important to incorporate moving stagnation all over the body including your face! She uses the full line of Laurel products that are incredibly clean and also non-toxic. I highly recommend finding someone you trust and incorporating a facial routine as the seasons change!Nikki Bostwick is the Founder and Editor in Chief of THE FULLEST and host of THE FULLEST Podcast.
